AdTab 450mg Internal Antiparasitic Dog +11-22kg 3 Chewable Tablets

AdTab is an internal antiparasitic product for dogs, identical to Credelio, from the same family as Bravecto, Nexgard and Frontpro. It is used to treat tick and flea infestations in dogs and may be used in the management of allergic dermatitis from flea bites.

Properties

• Contains the active ingredient lotilaner, a potent inhibitor of gammaaminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor chloride channels
• Effective against fleas (Ctenocephalides felis and Ctenocephalides canis) and ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes hexagonus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus)
• Does not require a prescription

Mode of action

Lotilaner kills fleas and ticks by acting on their nervous system, blocking the normal circulation of charged particles entering and leaving nerve cells. This causes uncontrolled activity of the nervous system and paralysis and death of the parasites.

Tips for use

• Available in the form of chewable tablets of different strengths to administer to dogs during or after a meal
• The dose to be administered depends on the weight of the dog
• No adverse effects were observed after oral administration in puppies aged 8–9 weeks, weighing 1.3–3.6 kg, and treated up to 5 times the maximum recommended dose
