Advilcaps Ibuprofen 400mg Soft Capsules 14

The medicine contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, ibuprofen, used for the short-term treatment of fever and/or pain such as headache, flu-like illness, dental pain, body aches and painful periods. It is also used for the treatment of mild to moderate migraine attacks.

Properties

• Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug: ibuprofen
• Suitable for adults and children from 30 kg (approximately 11-12 years)
• Short-term treatment of fever and/or pain
• Treatment of mild to moderate migraine attacks

Contraindications

• Allergy to ibuprofen or any of the other ingredients
• History of allergy or asthma triggered by taking this medication
• Pregnancy from the sixth month
• History of gastrointestinal bleeding or ulcers related to previous treatment with NSAIDs

Dosage

• Adults and children weighing more than 30 kg: 1 capsule of 400 mg per dose, to be renewed if necessary every 6 to 8 hours, without exceeding 3 capsules of 400 mg per day
• In the event of a migraine attack: 1 capsule of 400 mg as soon as possible from the start of the attack

Precautions for use

• Use the lowest possible dose for the shortest duration necessary
• Close monitoring of patients with risk factors for gastrointestinal complications
• Caution in elderly people
