Biocanina Ascatène dewormer is a versatile treatment for parasitic infestations in dogs and cats. It contains two active ingredients, niclosamide and pyrantel, which act against gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes.

Properties and Indications

• Treatment of infestations with the following parasites: gastrointestinal nematodes (Toxocara canis et cati, Toxascaris leonina, Ankylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala) and cestodes (Taenia spp, Dipylidium caninum)
• A combination of two anthelmintics: niclosamide is a cestodicidal anthelmintic, while pyrantel is active against dog and cat nematodes
• Indications: treatment of infestations by parasites sensitive to pyrantel and niclosamide in dogs and cats

Contraindications and Precautions

• Do not use in case of known hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients
• Do not combine with piperazine salts (inactivation)
• Precautions for use: do not administer a piperazine-based dewormer less than 24 hours apart because the actions neutralize each other
