Biocanina Milbetel Vermifuge is a dewormer for cats and kittens, intended to treat mixed infestations with immature and adult cestodes (flatworms) and adult nematodes (roundworms). It is also effective for the prevention of heartworm disease.

Properties

• Milbemycin oxime belongs to the group of macrocyclic lactones, produced by the fermentation of Streptomyces hygroscopicus var. aureolacrimosus.
• Praziquantel is an acetylated pyrazino-isoquinoline derivative, active against cestodes and trematodes.

Instructions

Biocanina Milbetel Vermifuge is indicated for cats and kittens from 0.5 kg to 2 kg, to treat mixed infestations with immature and adult cestodes and adult nematodes.

Contraindications

Do not use in kittens aged less than 6 weeks and/or weighing less than 0.5 kg, nor in cases of hypersensitivity to active substances or to any of the excipients.

Tips for use

The minimum recommended dose is 2 mg milbemycin oxime and 5 mg praziquantel per kg body weight, administered as a single oral dose. Tablets can be divided into 2 halves for easier administration.
