Biseptine is a solution for local antiseptic application used for the antisepsis of shallow surgical and traumatic wounds, the local adjunctive treatment of skin conditions that are infected or at risk of becoming infected, as well as the antisepsis of the skin before an operation.

Ingredients

Purified water and the following active ingredients:

• Chlorhexidine gluconate (0.250g per 100ml)
• Benzalkonium chloride (0.025g per 100ml)
• Benzyl alcohol (4,000ml per 100ml)

Tips for use

• Injured skin: 1 application, 2 times a day
• Preparation of healthy skin for surgery: 2 successive applications

Precautions for use

• Allow to dry before using an electrical instrument
• Do not use on a large surface, under an occlusive dressing, on deeply burned skin, on premature or infant skin
• Avoid the simultaneous or successive use of other antiseptics

Adverse effects

• Allergic eczema upon contact with the product
• General allergic accident which can lead to anaphylactic shock
• Chemical burns in newborns
