Clément Thékan Strantel Cats 2 Tablets is a veterinary medicine specifically designed to treat mixed infestations by nematodes and gastrointestinal cestodes in cats. This product is based on praziquantel and pyrantel, and is presented in the form of scored film-coated tablets.

Instructions

• Treatment of mixed infestations with gastrointestinal nematodes and cestodes
• Nematodes: Toxocara cati, Toxascaris leonina
• Cestodes: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia taeniaformis, Echinococcus multilocularis

Contraindications

• Do not use simultaneously with compounds from the piperazine family
• Do not use in kittens less than 6 weeks old
• Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients
• Do not use during gestation but can be used during lactation

Tips for Use

To ensure correct dosage, the weight of the animal must be determined as accurately as possible. The recommended dose is 20 mg of pyrantel per kg of body weight (i.e. 57.5 mg of pyrantel embonate per kg) and 5 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight.

Administer the tablet orally, directly to the cat or mixed in food.

Precautions for Use

• In animals: Parasite resistance to certain classes of anthelmintics may develop following frequent or repeated use of an anthelmintic of this class
• In the person who administers the veterinary medicinal product to animals: As a hygienic measure, people administering the tablets directly to the cat or adding them to its food must wash their hands after administration
