Properties
Biatain Alginate Ag is an absorbent dressing composed of calcium alginate and silver ions for moderately to heavily exuding infected wounds, regardless of the size, shape or depth of the wound.
On contact with exudates, Biatain Alginate Ag transforms into a cohesive gel which adapts to the wound bed for good infection control. The patented silver complex releases ions on contact with exudates.
The absorption capacity of Biatain Alginate Ag and the formation of gel which retains the exudate prevent leaks which can cause maceration of the periwound skin.
Ingredients
Composed of calcium alginate, carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) and a silver complex.
User manual
