Drontal Dog Dewormer Against Roundworms/Flatworms 2 Scored Tablets

Drontal Dog Dewormer is an effective treatment against mixed infestations by nematodes and cestodes in dogs. Each tablet contains 150mg of febantel, 50mg of pyrantel (as embonate) and 50mg of praziquantel, providing synergistic action against roundworms and tapeworms.

Pharmacological Properties

• Pyrantel acts as a cholinergic agonist, causing spasmodic paralysis of nematodes.
• Febantel inhibits the polymerization of tubulin into microtubules, depleting the parasite’s energy reserves and killing it within 2-3 days.
• Praziquantel severely damages the parasite’s integument, disrupting its metabolism and causing its death.

Instructions

Drontal Dog Dewormer is indicated for the treatment of mixed infestations by the following nematodes and cestodes:- Roundworms: Ascarids, hookworms and whipworms- Flatworms: Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis, Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp.

Administration Mode

1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight, administered once, with or without food.

Precautions for Use

Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to any of the active substances or any of the excipients. Do not administer during the first and second third of gestation.

Adverse Effects

In very rare cases, mild and transient digestive disorders such as vomiting and/or diarrhea may occur.
