Drontal Dog is an effective dewormer against roundworm and tapeworm infestations in dogs. This product is a combination of three active substances: pyrantel, febantel and praziquantel, which act synergistically to eliminate parasites.

Pharmacological properties

Drontal Dog is an anthelmintic which contains active substances which act on nematodes and cestodes. Pyrantel and febantel act synergistically against roundworms, while praziquantel acts on cestodes.

Instructions

Drontal Dog is indicated for the treatment of mixed infestations by nematodes and cestodes in dogs, particularly against roundworms and tapeworms.

Tips for use

Drontal Dog is administered orally, at a rate of 1 tablet per 10 kg of body weight. The tablets are flavored and can be administered with or without food.

Precautions for use

It is important to seek advice from a veterinarian before treatment, particularly in the event of repetition of treatment or frequency of treatment. It is also important to take control measures against intermediate hosts, such as fleas and mice.

Adverse effects

Adverse effects are rare and may include mild and transient digestive disturbances, such as vomiting and/or diarrhea.

Contraindications

Drontal Dog is contraindicated in cases of hypersensitivity to one of the active substances or to one of the excipients, and during the first and second third of gestation.
