Melgisorb Plus is a highly absorbent alginate dressing designed for moderately to heavily exuding wounds. Its sodium and calcium alginate fibers provide excellent absorption, wet strength, and high retention to minimize the risk of maceration.

Indications and Contraindications

Indicated for the treatment of moderately to heavily exuding and/or hemorrhagic cavitary or superficial wounds, including decubitus ulcers, venous or arterial ulcers, diabetic ulcers, etc. Contraindicated for dry wounds, third degree burns, or surgical implants.

Tips for Use

Clean the wound with 0.9% saline solution, apply a compress or Melgisorb Plus wick, and cover with a secondary dressing. The dressing can be left in place for several days and should be changed when saturated. It must be removed by irrigation with isotonic saline.
