Milbemax Tab Dewormer Broad Spectrum Cats From 2kg Scored Tablets 2

Milbemax Tab is a dewormer specially designed for cats weighing more than 2 kg. This veterinary medicinal product is used to treat mixed infestations with immature and adult stages of cestodes and nematodes.

Pharmacological properties

Milbemax Tab contains two active substances: milbemycin oxime and praziquantel. Milbemycin oxime is active against mites, larval and adult stages of nematodes and against larvae of Dirofilaria immitis. Praziquantel is active against cestodes and trematodes.

Instructions

Milbemax Tab is indicated for cats weighing more than 2 kg to treat mixed infestations with immature and adult stages of the following cestodes and nematodes:* Cestodes: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp, Echinococcus multilocularis* Nematodes: Ancylostoma tubaeforme, Toxocara cati* Prevention of heartworm disease (Dirofilaria immitis)

Contraindications

Do not use in cats less than 6 weeks old and/or less than 0.5 kg.

Dosage

The minimum recommended dose is 2 mg of milbemycin oxime per kg of body weight and 5 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight, in a single dose, orally.

Precautions for use

The drug can be integrated into a heartworm prevention program, if concomitant treatment against cestodes is indicated. The specialty administered every month helps prevent heartworm disease.

Adverse effects

In very rare cases, hypersensitivity reactions, systemic signs, neurological signs and/or gastrointestinal signs have been observed after administration of the veterinary medicinal product.

In accordance with good veterinary practice, animals should be weighed before administration to ensure appropriate dosage.
