Milbemax Tab Dog is a broad-spectrum dewormer designed to treat mixed infestations with adult stages of cestodes and nematodes in dogs. It contains two active substances: milbemycin oxime and praziquantel.

Properties

Instructions

Milbemax Tab Dog is indicated for the treatment of mixed infestations with adult stages of the following cestodes and nematodes:

• Cestodes: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp, Echinococcus spp, Mesocestoides spp
• Nematodes: Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Crenosoma vulpis, Angiostrongylus vasorum, Thelazia callipaeda

Contraindications

Do not use in dogs weighing less than 5 kg or in cases of hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients.

Precautions for use

In accordance with good veterinary practice, animals must be weighed before administration to ensure an appropriate dosage. Treatment of dogs carrying circulating microfilariae may lead to the observation of hypersensitivity reactions.

Dosage

The minimum recommended dose is 0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight, in a single dose, orally.
