Milbemax Tab Small Dogs And Puppies Box 2 Scored Tablets

Broad-spectrum dewormer, Milbemax is indicated for the treatment of mixed infestations by adult stages of cestodes and nematodes in small dogs and puppies weighing 0.5 to 10 kg.

Properties

Milbemycin belongs to the macrocyclic lactone family and is active against mites, larval and adult stages of nematodes and against Dirofilaria immitis larvae.

Instructions

In small dogs and puppies weighing 0.5 to 10 kg, for the treatment of mixed infestations with the adult stages of the following cestodes and nematodes: – Cestodes: Dipylidium caninum, Taenia spp, Echinococcus spp, Mesocestoides spp- Nematodes: Ancylostoma caninum, Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Trichuris vulpis, Crenosoma vulpis, Angiostrongylus vasorum, Thelazia callipaeda

Contraindications

Do not use in puppies less than 2 weeks old and/or weighing less than 0.5 kg. Do not use in case of hypersensitivity to the active substances or any of the excipients.

Tips for use

The minimum recommended dose is 0.5 mg of milbemycin oxime and 5 mg of praziquantel per kg of body weight, in a single dose, orally.

Precautions for use

Some studies have shown that the safety margin of milbemycin oxime is lower in some collie and related breeds.
