Properties and Indications

This medication contains econazole nitrate, an antifungal and antibacterial agent, indicated in the local treatment of mycoses (conditions caused by microscopic fungi) of the vulva and vagina, sometimes superinfected.

Contraindications

• Do not use if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to the active substance or any of the other ingredients.
• Do not use with latex diaphragm or spermicidal products.

Ingredients

The active substance is econazole nitrate 150 mg per ovule sustained release, accompanied by galactomannan, colloidal anhydrous silica, solid semisynthetic glycerides and stearyl enantate.

Tips for Use

1 ovum preferably in the evening at bedtime, in a single administration. Insert the egg deeply into the vagina, preferably in a lying position.

Precautions for Use

Local treatment of mycosis is only one element of the overall treatment. Avoid relapses by looking for contributing factors with your doctor. Do not use acidic soap for local hygiene.

Adverse Effects

May include application site reactions such as burning, irritation, itching and erythema. These phenomena generally resolve spontaneously with continued treatment.
