Oxyplastin 46% Zinc Oxide Ointment – Treatment of Skin Irritations 135g

Oxyplastine 46% ointment is a skin protectant indicated for skin irritations. It consists of 46% zinc oxide along with other ingredients such as cholesterol, white beeswax, wool fat (lanolin), purified water, calcium hydroxide and virgin castor oil. This medicine is used externally only.

Indications and Contraindications

Indications: External use in case of skin irritation.

Contraindications:– Never use Oxyplastine 46% if you are allergic (hypersensitive) to zinc oxide or any of the other ingredients.- Avoid its use in cases of oozing or superinfected lesions.

Tips for Use

Apply locally 1 to 2 times a day. The duration of treatment is limited to 5 days for skin irritations and 3 days for red buttocks in infants. Store the medicine at a temperature not above 25°C and out of the reach of children.

Precautions and Side Effects

If there is no improvement or if symptoms persist, consult a doctor. This medicine contains wool fat (lanolin) which may cause skin reactions. Like all medicines, it can cause side effects.
