Panacur 250 is an internal antiparasitic for dogs, containing fenbendazole as the active ingredient. It is used to treat parasitic infestations in dogs, including ascaridosis, hookworm, trichuriasis and taeniasis.

Pharmacodynamic properties: Fenbendazole acts by interfering with the energy metabolism of nematodes, inhibiting the polymerization of tubulin into microtubules, which leads to the destruction of the microtubule network and cell death.

Pharmacokinetic properties: After oral administration, fenbendazole is metabolized in the liver and eliminated mainly through the feces.

Indications: Panacur 250 is indicated for the curative treatment of ascaridosis, hookworm, trichuroses and taeniasis in dogs.

Advice for use: The dosage is 50 mg of fenbendazole per kg of body weight per day for 3 consecutive days. The tablets should be dissolved in a little water and mixed with the meal.

Precautions for use: Digestive disorders and allergic reactions may occur. It is important to weigh the animal accurately before calculating the dose and to avoid direct contact with the skin.
