Sandoz Econazole 1% is an antifungal from the imidazole family, recommended in the treatment of certain skin mycoses caused by fungi. This medication is specifically indicated for candidiasis and dermatophytes.

Instructions

• Treatment of non-macerated fold mycoses: genital intertrigo, inframammary, interdigital, etc.
• Genital and crural intertrigo macerated treatment
• Intertrigo treatment of the toes

Contraindications

Do not use if you are allergic to econazole nitrate or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.

Ingredients

The active substance is econazole nitrate (1 g per 100 g of powder). Non-active ingredients include talc, colloidal anhydrous silica (Aerosil 300), and light zinc oxide.

Tips for use

1. Clean and dry the affected area well before application.
2. Apply Econazole on and around the affected area twice a day.

Processing time

• Candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks
• Dermatophyties: 2 to 3 weeks for genital and crural macerated intertrigo, 3 weeks for toe intertrigo

Precautions for use

It is imperative to respect the recommendations and the dosage indicated in the instructions, especially in children, on a large surface of skin, on damaged skin or in situations where the phenomenon of local occlusion can recur.

Side effects

Common side effects include itching, burning and pain at the application site.
