Sandoz Paracetamol 500mg Tablets 16

Pharmacotherapeutic class: other analgesics and antipyretics. This medication is an analgesic (relieves pain) and an antipyretic (reduces fever).

Instructions

• Indicated in cases of pain and/or fever such as headaches, flu-like illness, dental pain, aches, painful periods
• Reserved for adults and children from 27 kg (approximately from 8 years old)

Contraindications

• Never take Sandoz OCP Paracetamol 500 mg if you are allergic to paracetamol or any of the other ingredients contained in this medicine
• If you have serious liver disease
• If you have a wheat allergy (different from celiac disease)

Tips for use

Oral route. The tablets should be swallowed as is with a drink.

The recommended daily dose of paracetamol is approximately 60 mg/kg/day.

The unit dose is between 10 and 15 mg/kg. The interval between 2 doses depends on the symptoms and the maximum daily dose, but should never be less than 6 hours.

Precautions for use

• Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Sandoz OCP Paracetamol 500 mg
• If you are an adult weighing less than 50 kg
• If you have kidney or liver disease
• If you consume alcohol

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

If necessary, Sandoz OCP Paracetamol 500 mg can be used during pregnancy.

You should use the lowest possible dose that relieves pain and/or fever and take it for the shortest possible time.

Warnings

Never exceed the recommended doses (unless medical advice) taking into account all medicines containing paracetamol.

In case of overdose or accidental poisoning, contact a doctor immediately.

Adverse effects

Rarely observed effects: allergic reaction, rash, skin redness, hives, itching

Very rarely observed effects: biological changes requiring monitoring of blood tests, abnormally low levels of certain white blood cells or certain blood cells
