The Virbac Effitix Spot-On Antiparasitic External Solution product is designed for dogs weighing 4-10kg. It is presented in the form of pipettes of 4 pieces and is intended to prevent and treat infestations by fleas, ticks, sandflies and mosquitoes.

Properties

The product contains fipronil and permethrin, which are insecticides and acaricides. Fipronil acts on chloride channels activated by neurotransmitters, thereby causing the death of insects and mites. Permethrin, for its part, acts on voltage-gated sodium channels, causing hyperexcitability and death of the parasite.

Instructions

The product is indicated for dogs infested with fleas and/or ticks, and for those who require repellent activity against sandflies and mosquitoes. It is also effective against flea bite allergy dermatitis (DAPP).

Administration mode

The product is administered topically, by applying the contents of a pipette directly to the dog’s skin, at 2 to 4 points along the back, between the shoulders and the base of the tail.

It is important to follow the instructions for use and precautions for use to avoid any risk for the animal and for the people around it. The product is toxic to cats and can be lethal, so it is important to separate them from treated dogs until the application site is dry.
