Acticoat Individual Dressing 10x20cm Piece 1

Acticoat is an antimicrobial dressing with silver nanocrystals, which releases bactericidal silver ions (Ag+) on contact with water. It provides an effective antimicrobial barrier for superficial to deep wounds, such as venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, pressure sores, burns, graft recipient sites and possible use on catheter insertion sites.

This dressing prevents wound infection by reducing its bacterial load, facilitates preparation of the wound bed and acts quickly, in 30 minutes, and long-lasting, stable for 72 hours.

It is easy to handle, adheres poorly to the wound and does not inhibit budding. The dimensions of the dressing are 10 x 20 cm.

The composition of the product is free of latex, rosin, phthalate (DEHP) and PVC. The central compress is made of non-woven viscose rayon (70%) and polyester (30%). The bottom and top layers are made of high-density knitted polyethylene, coated with nanocrystalline silver.

The dressing is packaged in an individual peelable heat-sealed bag, free of latex, heavy metals and PVC.

Indications: Superficial to deep wounds, venous ulcers, diabetic ulcers, pressure sores, burns, graft recipient sites, possible use on catheter insertion sites.

Contraindications: Proven allergy to silver or one of the other constituents of the dressing, patient requiring an MRI.

Instructions for use: Remove the dressing from the sterile packaging, cut to the desired shape, moisten with sterile water, place on the wound and secure with a secondary dressing.

Precautions for use: Acticoat must be moistened before installation, remain wet at all times, single use, external use only.
