Contraindications

Never take Alka Seltzer 324 mg Effervescent Tablet if you are allergic to the active substance (aspirin), or to a related medicine (especially non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) or to one of the other ingredients contained in this medicine.

Composition

The active substance is: acetylsalicylic acid (324 mg for one effervescent tablet).

User manual

Drink immediately after complete dissolution of the effervescent tablet in a large glass of water. The dosage depends on the child’s weight. The recommended daily dose of aspirin is approximately 60 mg/kg/day, divided into 4 or 6 doses.

Precautions for use

Aspirin should only be used after consulting your doctor, particularly in cases of G6PD deficiency, a history of stomach or duodenal ulcer, digestive bleeding or gastritis.

Warnings and precautions

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking, have recently taken or might take any other medicines. Do not take other medications containing aspirin and/or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs at the same time as this medication.

Adverse effects

This medication may cause side effects, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, allergic reactions, ringing in the ears, headache, and dizziness.
