This medication is an analgesic (relieves pain) and an antipyretic (reduces fever). It is indicated in cases of pain and/or fever such as headaches, flu-like conditions, dental pain, aches, as well as in the treatment of certain rheumatic conditions.

Tips for use

Drink immediately after the effervescent tablet has completely dissolved in a large glass of water.

Dosage

The maximum recommended daily dosage is 3 g of aspirin, or 6 effervescent tablets per day.

Contraindications

Never take Aspirin UPSA 500 mg, effervescent tablet:

• If you are allergic to the active substance or any of the other ingredients contained in this medicine
• In case of phenylketonuria (hereditary disease detected at birth)
• In case of history of asthma induced by the administration of aspirin or a related medication
• During the last trimester of pregnancy
• In case of developing stomach or duodenal ulcer
• If you have a bleeding disease or risk of bleeding

Ingredients

The active substance is acetylsalicylic acid. The other ingredients are: sodium bicarbonate, anhydrous citric acid, anhydrous monosodium citrate, anhydrous sodium carbonate, aspartame (E951), povidone, polyvinylpyrrolidone, orange flavor (including sulfur dioxide (E220)).

Precautions for use

If combining other medications, to avoid a risk of overdose, check the absence of aspirin in the composition of the other medications.
