Description
Oxomemazine Mylan 0.33mg/ml Caramel Aroma Syrup 150ml bottle is an antitussive medication belonging to the family of antihistamines of the neuroleptic type phenothiazine. It is used to calm dry coughs and irritant coughs in adults and children over 2 years old, particularly when they occur in the evening or at night.
This medication is contradicted for people allergic to oxomemazine or one of the other ingredients, for children under 2 years old, as well as for people with a significant reduction in the level of certain white blood cells in the blood (agranulocytosis). It is also not recommended for people with difficulty urinating, problems of prostate or other origin, as well as for people at risk of narrow-angle glaucoma.
Composition: Oxomemazine 0.033g per 100ml of syrup, sodium benzoate, glycerin, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, caramel flavor, caramel coloring, sucrose, purified water.
Dosage: The usual dose is 10ml of oral solution per dose, 4 times a day for adults and children over 40kg. For children aged 2 to 12 years, the dose is 5 to 10ml of oral solution per dose, 2 to 3 times a day, depending on the child’s weight.
Precautions: This medication may cause drowsiness, so it is best to take Oxomemazine Mylan in the evening. It is also not recommended to drive a vehicle or use machinery if you experience this effect. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek the advice of their doctor before taking this medicine.
