Description
Normacol Enema Children is a laxative used in children from 3 years of age for preparation for radiological and endoscopic examinations of the rectosigmoid, as well as for the symptomatic treatment of lower constipation.
Presentation
The rectal solution is presented in a 60 ml single-dose container.
Instructions
- Preparation for radiological and endoscopic examinations of the rectosigmoid
- Symptomatic treatment of low constipation
Contraindications
- Allergy to active substances or any of the other ingredients
- Toxic colitis or toxic megacolon
- Patients with or at risk of intestinal obstruction
- Megacolon (congenital or acquired)
- Hydro-electrolytic disorders with sodium retention
- Severe kidney failure
- Children under 3 years old
Ingredients
The active substances are sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate and sodium hydrogen phosphate dodecahydrate.
Tips for use
Preparation for endoscopic or radiological examinations: enema the evening before and 1 on the day of the examination. Constipation: an enema five to twenty minutes before the time chosen for exemption.
Precautions for use
Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before using Normacol Enema Children. Prolonged or repeated use is not recommended.
Adverse effects
In case of prolonged or repeated use, risk of anal burning sensation. Very rarely, cases of hydroelectrolyte disorders have been reported.
