Pharmacotherapeutic class: local antifungal imidazole derivatives. Pevaryl 1% Econazole Nitrate Solution is an antifungal medicine from the imidazole family, used to treat certain mycoses (skin conditions caused by fungi) such as tinea versicolor.

Instructions

• Treatment or adjunctive treatment of certain mycoses (skin conditions caused by fungi)
• Pytiriasis versicolor

Contraindications

• Allergy to econazole nitrate or any of the other ingredients
• Do not apply to breasts during breastfeeding
• Do not apply in the eye, mouth or nose

Composition

• Ethanol, propylene glycol, trometamol, perfume
• Perfume composition: essential oils of rose, jasmine, iris, sandalwood, ylang, coriander, vetiver, linalool, cinnamic alcohol, cinnamic aldehyde
• Active ingredients: econazole nitrate 1.0 g per 100 g of solution

Tips for use

For external use only. Apply Pevaryl on and around the affected area twice a day, massaging gently until the solution is completely absorbed.

Precautions for use

• In children, on a large surface of skin, on damaged skin
• Do not use on open wounds or large areas of broken or damaged skin

Adverse effects

Common side effects are itching, burning sensation, pain at the application site.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding

The use of Pevaryl 1% is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, without the advice of your doctor.
