Ibuprofen Sandoz 200mg Coated Tablets 20

This medicine contains a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug: ibuprofen.

Instructions

• Indicated for the short-term treatment of fever and/or pain such as headache, flu-like illness, dental pain, body aches and painful periods
• Adult and child over 20 kg (approximately 6 years old)

Contraindications

• Allergy to the active substance or any of the other ingredients contained in this medicine
• Beyond 5 completed months of pregnancy (24 weeks of amenorrhea)
• History of allergy or asthma triggered by taking this or a related medication

Dosage

Painful and/or febrile conditions:

• In children, the usual dosage is 20 to 30 mg/kg/day in 3 doses per day
• In adults and children over 30 kg, 1 to 2 tablets (200 mg), to be renewed if necessary after 6 hours

Precautions for use

Discuss your treatment with your doctor or pharmacist before taking Ibuprofen Sandoz if you have heart problems, angina, or have had a heart attack.

Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility

During the first trimester of pregnancy, this medicine may be prescribed if necessary. From 2.5 to 5 months of pregnancy, it will only be used on the advice of your doctor and taken briefly.

This medicine passes into breast milk, so avoid using it while breastfeeding.
