Properties and Indications

Oxomemazine Sandoz Conseil is a cough suppressant belonging to the family of antihistamines of the phenothiazine neuroleptic type. It opposes the effects of histamine, particularly on the bronchi. Recommended to calm dry coughs and irritant coughs in adults and children over 2 years old, particularly when they occur in the evening or at night.

Contraindications

• Allergy to the active substance (oxomemazine), to antihistamines, or to any of the other ingredients contained in this medicine
• Allergy to a medicine in the same family as Oxomemazine Sandoz Conseil (antihistamines) used to treat allergies
• Do not give Oxomemazine Sandoz Advice to a child under 2 years of age
• Agranulocytosis, disorders of prostatic or other origin, angle-closure glaucoma, taking medications containing cabergoline or quinagolide

Ingredients

Oxomemazine; glycerol, liquid maltitol (E965), acesulfame potassium, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate, caramel flavor*, purified water*. Contains in particular propylene glycol, vanillin, 3-hydroxybutanone (acetylmethylcarbinol).

Tips for Use

In adults and children over 40 kg: 10 ml of oral solution per dose, 4 times a day. In children aged 2 to 12 years, the daily dose depends on your child’s weight. Use the measuring cup provided in the box. Rinse the measuring cup after each use.

Precautions for Use

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist before taking Oxomemazine Sandoz Conseil. If cough persists, do not increase doses. Consult your doctor. This medication should be used with caution due to the risk of drowsiness. The combination with other sedative medications is not recommended.
